African Americans and Tobacco Use

Black or African American is defined by the Office environment of Administration and Finances as “a particular person possessing origins in any of the black racial groups of Africa.”1 There had been above 40 million African People in the United States in 2016—approximately 13% of the U.S. inhabitants.2

Although African Us citizens ordinarily smoke fewer cigarettes and get started cigarette smoking cigarettes at an more mature age, they are much more likely to die from smoking cigarettes-related disorders than Whites.3,4,5,6,7
